Enjoy Skip-the-line to explore one of the most iconic buildings in Venice. The tour takes through the Doge’s Palace’s rooms and chambers where the delicate work of some of the most important bodies in the Venetian administration was carried out. Starts from St Mark's Campanile and walks towards the entrance doors of the Doge’s palace. The guide will give a little insight into the history of the Venetian dukes, and council, stories about the political powers, controllers and the epic rise and fall as a European trading power. You’ll skip the long line with priority access, with the guide and go straight inside.
Once inside, you'll be introduced to the features of the palace and the history of the Republic of Venice. In the grand rooms, you’ll see hundreds of artistic masterpieces and as you explore the hallways, you’ll see the magnificent golden staircase with Byzantine and Oriental architecture masterpieces collided on the walls. The guide will escort you and point out some of the most famous works of Tintoretto, Veronese and other important artists’ artwork for you to admire.
Your tour doesn’t end there, you’ll have the access to armoury which contains a vast collection of armaments and weapons from different periods and to the prisons to see the realism of the scenes created by the many artists who decorated the building.
After discovering the mysterious yet admirable palace with great artwork, you’ll discover the legendary Bridge of Sighs which is connected to the prison from the Doges Palace. Finally, feel the anguish of the prisoners, who after crossing the bridge entered into the darkness as the guide and you will cross the Bridge of Sighs, peeking out at the crowds below for the last time just like the prisoners in the 18th century.
